The end of an era

Like most people across the world, we are finalizing the last works of the year – before the very well-deserved holiday season. But today also marks the end of a very special era in Hölscher Jensen, as our technological wizard Rho Loving has chosen new professional challenges after 11 years of dedicating his brilliance to us.

Rho started his dewatering journey with Hölscher Wasserbau, as a student assistant during his candidate studies and then joined permanently after finishing his education as Civil Engineer in Mathematical Modelling and Computation in Nov. 2013. Here he was tasked with digitalizing the data management and later digitalizing the creation of a water treatment plant. From here sprung the creation of a web shop for the company. Meanwhile, Rho created software to fulfil client requirements in both Germany and Denmark. When Hölscher Jensen was founded in 2016, he continued developing the web shop but branched the idea into a new project which was to become a core part of our business: MainOps. The initial plan when deciding to expand the web shop was to create a digital platform to help keep a structured, real-time, overview of tasks and documentation related to our maintenance and operation. But today, it is also used for invoicing, timesheets, inventory – and one of our digital tools that both makes daily life easier and is one of our unique selling propositions within our small Danish dewatering sector. If you ask us – MainOps is Rho’s original baby!

As life will have it, Rho has evolved in the 11 years he has been with us – and now has a wife and a real-life human baby at home and the office dog, Snitte. They are looking into becoming house owners, and hopefully expand their family within the coming year. Professionally he is looking forward to having colleagues within his field of expertise, and a range of new tasks and challenges.

Luckily Rho has already passed on much of his knowledge to Friederike, who will be our main person in charge of data management – and ensuring our active projects still receive the required skilled attention. If you, or anyone you know, has a dream of programming in C# and doing database tasks in ASP.net Core 2.1 and 8.0 – we provide an exciting environment with unique colleagues, where your expert input will both be respected, appreciated and supported. We know that Rho is one-of-a-kind, an unreplaceable person due to his DENSE imprint on our company – but we have space for a new genius or two.
